No, I don't necessarily have a need to edit or update the fields, but I
did I notice that when you look at your albums using PWA, the albums from
instant upload (with the "buzz" album type) are automatically
grouped/hidden. However, these albums are included when you fetch a list of
a user's albums.

It looks like the album type information can be used to filter the album
feed when displaying it so that the instant upload albums are hidden.

The only tangential use case for a feature like "album types" would be to
organize albums. I can imagine some kind of functionality that would let you
tag albums with keywords — just like you can do with photos — so you can
organize them. I'm thinking of keywords like "vacation," "sports," "friends"
that could create groups of albums related to certain topics.

I imagine that most people don't need those kind of tools, but I would find
it useful to keep my growing number of albums organized.
