Hello, I am trying to solve an issue I have been having displaying images from my Picasa web albums in the Cooliris Embeded Wall for web sites (this is the web version not the desktop version). The problem is that the images start to fail to load towards the end of each hour, the image file names show, but the images do not load. At the end of the hour, 1m 15s past exactly all the images will load again. They will display for the next 45m or so before they start to fail to show again. This is not every hour and varies. If I clear browsing history and cache it makes no difference.
I had read the Twitter limits the API call rate to a users account from third party apps to 100 per hour, that is a fixed call rate that is refreshed every hour and if the rate is exceeded Twitter will not respond for that users account the rest of that hour. I was wondering if Picasa has a likewise call restriction per hour which is restricting the loading of my images by Cooliris? As I have tried asking everywhere to resolve this problem and a call restriction now seems to be the only thing I can find that would explain thiis behaviour. I have read all the documents I can find but none seem to mention this. Does anyone know If this is so?
