Hello, currently I am working on my Masters Thesis at the Faculty of Computer Science at a University in Germany. My task is to develop parts of a robot operating system which can annotate images taken by the robots cameras and identify objects within these pictures. In detail the research topic is about how the databases of (image) search engines can be used in order to obtain semantic information about a photograph.
Is it possible to upload a photo via the picasa api and get optically similar images including all their tags as answer? I am thinking about something similar to googles inverse image search. www.google.com/insidesearch/features/images/searchbyimage... <http://www.google.com/insidesearch/features/images/searchbyimage.html> Would be nice if you could help me.
