API limit count

Is there a limit in terms of the number of calls you can make to the Google 
Spreadsheet API.  I want to build a monte carlo simulator that keeps on 
hitting Google Spreadsheet with new values. i.e a simulation can hit google 
spreadsheets for about 1000 times.  And this is just one simulation.
