I want to track golf shots during a round. I have columns for Drive, 2nd shot, 3rd shot, chip-pitch-sand, putts and score. I assign an alpha,numeric rating to each shot. For example the drive might have a shot shape of straight (1), a strike of solid (S1), Results =fairway R1. There are multiple criteria for each (Shot shape, Strike, Results). I've tried using dcount and dcounta but they want the total rating for example using the above result, 1S1R1. I want to be able for example to get a count of how many drives were straight which is the first component of the shot rating.
