I think that Google is doing a BIG, enormous mistake forgetting Linux user base, in a crucial moment were Linux is expanding well beyond server use - Ubuntu - . I'm thinking about Picasa, and of course about Google Talk voice features, not considering that an OFFICIAL linux googletalk client simply doesn't exist. We aren't all Geeks, maybe I'm, but someone somewhere is asking: "Why in my Ubuntu there isn't a GTalk Client? I need to compile some strange client to obtain voice feature. Ok. But, what mean 'compile'? ".
There's NO organic organization of informations from Google, open source is good with little projects, or when big personalities or entities organize the projects from the top - Linus Torvalds for the kernel is THE example -. And Google has the resources - in terms of money and engineers -. So google, wake up, or you will be less or more as Microsoft... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "google-talk-open" group.
