I just had success setting the 'connect to server' (translated by me from Danish) on the Advanced tab to talk.google.com - which is not specified in the above instructions. However, I'm not really aware if I'm then using my GAFYD-account or my ordinary Google-account ... I'm connected, but still puzzled :-|
