It seems fairly consistent that we all started experiencing problems on Friday (08 Feb) Which suggests:
1) The server module is down /not functioning properly 2) Some new code was rolled out that is buggy If the speculation that its a client roster sync problem this still points to the gtalk servers being broken - this should not break federation between services. I've logged an issue with google but am not holding my breath for a response (never had one before) and they don't seem to be reading this forum .....
