Hi, I would like to do something similar, so changing the Gmail Chat status message, but from Javascript. There must be a way to do that, but I just couldn't find a proper API. In fact, I would like to create a Gadget and nest it into Gmail with the help of one of the Labs features, and use it to set the status message programmatically. Any idea?
