I am running a home XMPP server, and when I try to send a message from my account on my server and my gmail account, I get a 404 error. When I try to send a message from my gmail account to my self-hosted account, I get a 503 error. Why does this happen? They can't add each other to each other's rosters, but I tested my server with jabber.org and all of these things work no problem.
I am hosting a multi user chat and I'm able to join it with my gmail account but it still won't send messages to my JID, just the MUC.
