I have many published Themes and am ranked 8th in the world (out of
more than 2,700) by Google for developers of themes and gadgets
combined. When they came out with their new Themer and started
flooding the library with everything imaginable. (All types of poor
quality themes and themes that are not wide screen.) I wrote a polite
e-mail suggesting that they needed to screen themes better and that
they create a category for designers who have a certain minimum number
of people using their themes. The problem with the current situation
is that with themes being thrown into a big pool, how do you find a
good theme? You can go to the "Hottest" category but that is limited.
Google has never responded to my e-mail and now they will not even
post my themes. Seems strange that a company would ignore and black
ball someone who has many hours into developing themes for them. I
know one other designer, Tamara of Elite Designs has left. Tamara was
ranked 6th. I doubt if any experienced designers will do themes for
the theme library anymore. What's the point, they are lost in a sea
of poor quality themes that people will get tired of looking through.
