API Group this is a rant to Google, if you are easily offended, do not conitnue, but know I am seriously offended myself right now by Google's theme workforce.
Does anyone know who makes the decision on who is an artist and who isn't. My bet is that most developers here are more than worthy enough to be placed in the Artist themes. Can any of those artists currently in the list even work with xml? I doubt it, maybe that is the factor, if you know your way around something as simple as xml, you can’t be an artist. If you know computer languages, you are not an artist, you are a programmer… right? WRONG Google. I want to get nasty and curse my way through this post, as an artist, maybe I should. We are extremely emotional right, but wait, am I an artist or a programmer? F&^K you Google. I have seen a good share of artist building these themes that you capitalize off of. Then you sh!t all over them and insult their talents by selecting a bunch of artist only the cafe loving fenchies out of New York know of. This is the digital age fu$%ers, if an artist isn't working with pixels, they are out-of-date. I still work with paint on canvas, I still get my hands dirty with charcoal, but it is my job as an artist to push the envelope, to find new horizons, and not stick with what is known. You have shut out your vast population of digital artist, and it is obvious we are pissed. I will continue to submit themes, but only because I know there are folks out there that want what I can offer. I know that they don't want some of the sh*t found in your oh-so-special categories. I know that they will want more then the tons of trash the theme wizard has spit out. I do thank you for the venue that you have offered to us all, but the fact is, the very population that built the gigantic library you now own is tired of being passed by. WHERE IS OUR F*&^#ING DIGITAL ART MUSEUM???? Oh thats right, the world doesn't know we are here and changing everything. You may think that it is a privilege for us to have Google atop our work, it is quite the other way around, you are lucky to have your mark on our work.
