I had a similar question, and got the following answer from Kathleen
at Google:

"You can view the Theme Maker themes that you have created in your
Google settings page: My Account > iGoogle - Settings > Content >
Change theme. Unfortunately, for now, this is the only way to retrieve
your Theme Maker themes."

Although I've created two themes using the theme maker, only one shows
up there. But one got into the main themes directory, whereas the
other was only a test, and I didn't nominate it to be shared. But it
never did make it to my home page, either!

So the answer is a bit confusing!
