After seeing how this problem has come up repeatedly, I thought I'd post what I consider is good, effective way to get around the issue and solve your headaches. If you are hosting your images on your own server, it appears that when you submit your template file, the google servers are searching so quickly that they FAIL before they find the image files that are listed in the XML file, and you end up with an error message similar to this:
http://www.yourwebsite.com/theme/header_center.jpg: File not found. Here is a simple, good way to work around this: > Go to http://code.google.com/hosting/ > click "Create a new project" > go to the downloads tab in your new project, > click new download, > browse for the file you want to upload, > upload all your image file and repeat until all your images are uploaded <!-- once you've upload all your images... AND BEFORE YOU UPLOAD THE XML TEMPLATE--> > change all the file paths in the XML template, which should read something > akin to: http://yourproject.googlecode.com/files/header_center.jpg <!--right click on one of your images and 'copy link location' to get the right file path--> Once all your files are there, go back to the skin submission page <!-- http://www.google.com/ig/skin_submit --> and try submitting your theme again! <!-- yourtheme.googlecode.com/files/theme_template.xml --> It should work now :) Best of luck! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Themes API" group.
