I'm not sure I fully understand your question. However, if you are
still able to load iGoogle and know the URL of your theme's XML file,
try adding "?skin=URL" after the "/ig" in the iGoogle URL.

For instance, I have an Australian scenic theme called "Toowoomba
QLD". If you look it up in the iGoogle Themes Directory, you will find
that the browser address bar shows:

http://www.google.com/ig/directory?hl=en&gl=au&type=themes
&url=users.on.net/~dvcox/gadgets/toowoomba.xml
(this will show as one line in the address bar)
or perhaps your local Google portal.

The last URL, "url=users.on.net/~dvcox/gadgets/toowoomba.xml" is the
address of the developer's XML file which runs the theme.

So if you type into your browser address bar:

http://www.google.com.au/ig
?skin=http://users.on.net/~dvcox/gadgets/toowoomba.xml
(enter this as one line)

you will be able to load iGoogle with that theme without setting it as
your theme in iGoogle.

Then all you have to do is make that URL your browser home page and it
will appear each time you open your browser.

I hope this makes sense to you and helps.
