As you say, this has long been a subject of discussion. I can't get my profile associated with my themes, nor every theme listed on my profile. The developer's profile seems not to be automatically associated with the developer's themes.
Unfortunately you are unlikely to get a Google answer in this forum, as there has been no Google employee presence here for several months. I've found it more effective to post in the iGoogle section of the Web Search Help forum at: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web+Search?hl=en where there are regular Google employee visits.
