None Special Characters causing problems upon translate

Hello again -

Sorry I think this query may be a little different to the one I posted
below so I re-include this separately.

If you translate this link 
http://84.18.203.141/gettinginvolved-communitypanel.asp,
say for example into Spanish the "News & Events" link on the top menu
line breaks it onto 3 lines in the menu once in the translated version
as if it is forcing a break wherever a "&" is?

If you could let me know why this is happening that would be great?
