The use of the Google translate system could be made easier in both
the Chrome browser and new Chrome OS. I suggest the following: a
button be placed in browser Options/Personal Stuff that would allow
three pieces of information to be input 1) Translation Service On or
Off, if On is chosen, an opportunity to input 2) Source language
default, e.g. French 3) Target language default, e.g. English. At
any time while using the browser, text could be highlighted and then,
with the cursor in the highlighted text, a Right Click would offer
"Translate" (among other options). When the translate page opens, one
would have the opportunity to modify the Source/Target language
defaults, and/or just click Translate.

This ease of use and power could be used in Chrome OS also, and
perhaps the OS Panel function might be the perfect way to implement
this downstream. The only real difference would be the use of a panel
to hold the info, and the fact that any text could be translated in
any application at any time.

Now that would be handy! What do you think?
