As part of re-doing my website to use the Google translation APIs, I wanted to apply for an ajax "developer id" from Google. So I went to Google and did a search on: +"Sign Up for the Google ajax" +translation Without paying too much attention, I clicked on about the 6th entry on the page, which is: (The "h" at the start changed to "X" to prevent accidental navigation.) Xttp://metalpark.de/neu2/browse.php?u=Oi8vY29kZS5nb29nbGUuY29tL2FwaXMvYWpheGZlZWRzL3NpZ251cC5odG1s&b=29 What you get is a page that looks a lot like Google. Apparently it is some sort of a "proxy". I did not notice the German text at the top, and when my request was turned down, I assumed that my logon cookie had become displaced, and gave my Google username & password. After I got my API string, I noticed my error, and *immediately* went to the Google site to change my password. My question is, should I bother to get a new API code? Is my Google account now flagged as "suspicious"? I had to leave to go to work at the time, but I just now tried again and it got a Javascript error with IE, so I used FF (because the errors are described much better), and it refuses, saying that it is an identified "Phishing" site.
