Google translate is great for translating a foreign language page, but
I completely expected something a little better from the translate
browser extension. Where is the "translate selected text" option in
the context menus etc?
I do not frequent too many foreign language sites .. but when I do,
google translate is great .. I do however have an extended family who
are spanish and it is a pain in the butt to have to copy their text,
go to translate.google.com and translate it. (granted: that is far
easier than any other option I had prior, but yes, I am getting
spoiled :D )
What would be infinitely helpful is if there was a way you could right
click on some selected text (or if the translate API has a way to auto-
detect a language as being foreign and detect the language itself ..
you could just auto-translate on selection rather than just a right
click option) and have that text be translated right then and there.
There are a bunch of websites out there that are multi-lingual, and
have diverse communities of people posting in them with various
languages. This discussion group is one of them; which boggles my
mind. How does this discussion group exist and such a feature as I
have explained does not yet exist?! Or maybe it does, and I just
haven't uncovered it yet.
Thanks for your time!
