I want to add the translation widget to an html email newsletter that
I send to people all over the world. I sent it to myself as a test,
but although the pulldown appears and you can select a language (and I
have Javascript enabled in my mail client, Thunderbird) I get a blue
band at the top of the page that says Error: The server could not
complete your request. Try again later. The Javascript console says:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure
code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIMenuBoxObject.activeChild]"
nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://global/content/bindings/menulist.xml :: onxblpopupshowing ::
line 43" data: no]
Should this work? It sounds like there's a bug in the Google code.
I'd really like to be able to do it.
