None disabling the automatic word translate

I want to disable the automatic word translate; in other words when my
cursor touches a word, I do not want the google gadget to come up at
all-
for any word in thetext I am typing now if I go back and have my
cursor touch the word, the popup translates the word. I want to
disable this.  I am on IE8, XP.  Please help.
