It looks like for whatever reason the Google proxy that fetches the
page to be translated may be timing out.
Is there any reason why your web server would not give a response to
Google's proxy?
Do you have access to your web server logs? If so, I can tell you
what to look for in the logs to see if it's appropriately getting
requests from Google.
