I was unable to have google translate translate this URL:

http://www.rtl.nl/%28/actueel/rtlnieuws/binnenland/%29/components/actueel/rtlnieuws/2010/02_februari/14/binnenland/geen-optocht-maastricht-door-sneeuw.xml

Though it ends in .xml, it renders as HTML
( <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> )
I find this a very annoying, and unnecessary limitation.

The extension of a webpage's URL should not matter in the least
amount.
What matters is the content.

If there was some other reason this could not be translated, it is
inobvious to me, the message I received was simply: "Sorry, we are
unable to translate the page you requested."

Furthermore: I receive the exact same message when requesting a
translation of an RSS feed (which is not HTML, and the error makes
sense there, if the limitation is technical.)

Is it possible for this behaviour to be altered, or bypassed at the
current time?
