When one reads the translation of a text that contains Bible verses,
terrible things can be seen, especially if the text is from an archaic
version.

The Bible is available for practically all languages, most of the time
is is even free.

It would be great if Google Translate utilized these parallel texts
instead of trying to translate Bible verses based on general texts.

Depending on how the translation engine works (which I don't know
yet),
perhaps it could even use the version and passage information, which
is usually given after the verses, to identify that the specific piece
of text is from the Bible.
E.g. "John 3:16 (NIV)" meaning "The Gospel of John, chapter 3 verse 16
from the New International Version".
Then it would know for sure that it is appropriate to use a parallel
text in the target language.
