I have noted this and produced a remedy. group countries into a set.
Find set names statistically. Translation is then trivial. It is
simply a quirk of statistical translation. I can I think prove the
absence of any conspiracy as follows. I put it "Vietnam war". Up comes
Wikipaedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_War is quite a good
scholarly account. Nothing biased. If anything bias is AGAINST the
Pentagon and the Establishment. My own personal opinion is that
Statistical Translation has considerable drawbacks and can produce
absurdities. You are right though. This is NOT acceptable.

This occurs in other languages too. Arabic comes in 2 flavours
Levantine and otherwise. Most Arabic is SVO although Levantine is SOV.
No Arabic is OVS (except for Mossad) There was an article in an Arab
newspaper about an Israeli settler killing a Palestinian. It came out
via Google as the Israeli having been killed by the Palestinian. Like
"Vietnam war" I put in "Cast lead". This was the Israeli operation in
Gaza. Again no evidence of bias at least NOT ON GOOGLE'S PART. It is
quite easy to find out about all the war crime allegations.

I said that I thought that statistical translation was unsound
fundamentally. The EU thinks so and MOLTO, which they are working on,
is in fact a grammatical system. Google Translate is I believe open to
hacking and I think Mossad does have some responsibility. I don't
think anyone cares enough about the Vietnam war to suggest the US won.
It was a long time ago. Needless to add only people accredited to
MOLTO will have any access to it. Sorry Mossad and all that.
