Google Translate sometimes makes big jumps when translating proper
names and titles. It has been known to "infer" local variants of
football teams, airports, languages and country names. Think of it a
bit like a small child, that thinks "Philipines" is just a word for
"far off exotic place" rather than a _specific_ place in Asia.

In general there is no quick fix for these things. The translator is
statistical, meaning it has to "learn" these things rather than simply
be programmed to do it right. But I'm sure Google's researchers are
working hard on this problem.
