My problem is now solved. I use the Google toolbar translate button. This translate feature allows you to translate the page you are viewing into the language of your choice. So once I go to the first shopping cart page, I simply translate that page by clicking on the Google toolbar translate button. Then I can see the entire page in the language of my choice. From there on out, until I complete my purchase, I see the translated language on my screen. I still do not know how to make the translation happen automatically without the Google toolbar, but that is OK.
