Since the Google Translate web interface only has one input box and
tries to automatically recognise URLs to handle them differently, it
fails on IDNs (i.e. top-level domains like .中国 and its ASCII
synonym .xn--fiqs8s). Instead, it treats the URL as a piece of text to
be translated directly.

You can work around it by getting the IP address of the site (e.g.
convert the address to ascii-punycode and paste it into "ping" or
something), but it'd be better if they were handled properly.
