Hello!

I added the code for the language select box from this page to my
website:

http://translate.google.com/translate_tools?hl=en&layout=1&eotf=1&sl=en&tl=vi

It works beautifully! When I select a language I get this nice blue
loading bar at the top of the page that I can close/X out of. Plus
the URL in my browser does not change, which is great.

When I try adding a plain hyperlink to translate the current page,
like this...

<a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://
www.example.com&langpair=en|es">EspaƱol</a>

...to translate from English to Spanish, I get different behavior.
The page refreshes, my URL is changed, I have a larger, more clunky,
white top bar that I can't escape from without hitting the back button
a number of times.

My question is can I get the same behavior for the hyperlinks as I get
from the select box?

I am building a site that targets English, Chinese, & Spanish speakers
but would ALSO like to have the select box so that more languages are
available. Breaking out the Spanish and Chinese links helps bring
attention to my target audience while making the site appear more
"multi-lingual" instead of having the languages hidden in a select
box.

Thanks for reading!
-Tim
