Hi Novarese, I'm glad you like the "Translate message" feature of Gmail! We've considered the idea of a way to translate outgoing emails for users, but there is some danger in doing so. We know that machine translation isn't perfect, and can contains errors, so we're not sure we would be serving our users well if we allowed them to easily translate text and then email it out without first verifying nothing was too terribly mis-translated.
I would suggest you encourage whomever you want to email to use Gmail, and then they can use the "Translate message" feature as well to read your messages :) Best, Josh Estelle Senior Software Engineer Google Translate On Nov 1, 11:59 am, novarese wrote: > Ciao everyone! > > I would like to know why in my Gmail I have a "Translate message" > feature when I receive an email in a language other than English, but > I don't have it when I compose an email in English that I want to > translate in another language before sending it. > > Is it going to be implemented? > Is there a workaround/solution you are aware of? > > Thanks! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General" group.
