Are there any plans to develop some kind of multilingual Google Dictionary? I for one would be more than willing to contribute to the Dutch -> English section. I have a very large collection already and am simply looking for the right place to start sharing, adding, editing it.
Ideally, I would see some sort of shared Google platform for bilingual (multilingual) terminology. TermWiki is trying it, but their wiki system is a horrible mess. Some of the large transltor hang-outs such as Proz and TranslatorsCafe have very large databases already, but no one has quite come up with a truly OPEN platform, with 100% easy import/export in standard formats such as tab delimited UTF-8 text files. I think Google could create The Largest Multilingual terminology database, very easily. I know that Google suggest we use Google Translate for such things, but this could be something that augments GT. If language professionals were offered a way of editing and improving the GT content, both sentences and words/phrases, I am quite certain this would greatly increase the quality of the GT machine translated content.
