Dear Sirs, For a quite long time I am preparing myself to write to you about specific topic: how does Google recognize Serbian language. You may ask yourself why?
Simply, I have noticed that whenever some text is written in Serbian language and used Cyrillic letters it is correctly recognized as Serbian. But, texts in Serbian written by Latin letters are according to Google always recognized as Croatian language. I do not want to investigate what are the reasons for such huge mistake, but such ignorance is really surprising. For your information in Serbia and everywhere else where Serbs live both Cyrillic and Latin letters are recognized as official letters of Serbian language. I am sure that it was much easier for Google to simplify things and say Cyrillic-Serbian and Latin-Croatian, but it is not so. Very often this kind of opinion looks really silly. According to your methods almost all web-sites from Serbia which belong to Serbian individuals, companies, institutions... are written in Croatian language. Why? Just because people choose to use Latin letters in order to be more understandable to the most of the world where Cyrillic letters are not known. Serbs use both type of Letters, plus there are several Serbian dialects. If you want to be real leader in this industry than you should provide correct and true information. This requires multi- disciplinary approach to such complex, important and sensitive topics as the languages of various nations are. If you have a good will to improve your services and would need any further assistance I am your disposal. Please do not hesitate to contact me. Wishing you all the best I remain with kind regards.
