You're right that these can be a bit hidden away, and we'll look into
this.
My understanding of the current design of the keyboards is more
designed to help people who are familiar with typing on an actual
Spanish keyboard, so these keyboard mimic that experience.

We definitely understand that this is likely lacking for someone who
is learning  a new language and has never typed on a keyboard for that
language.

I'll also mention, that our system does a pretty good job translating
even when you omit the accents all together.  There are some examples
where the accent does help us translate it better, but most of the
time they aren't necessary.
