hi, I searched the forum and didn't see this particular suggestion regarding highlighting, only some vitriolic posts about automatic highlighting.
I think it would be useful to have a feature that works thusly: When you translate a sentence you could highlight a word in the foreign language field and it is then also highlighted in the translated field. This would be an interesting feature because you would be able to pick apart the sentence word by word and understand what each word means. The apparent limitations would be that in certain languages word meanings are dependent on context, so if you remove the word from the context you might be changing the meaning. But it would still be useful in the sense that you'd still be able to understand the root meaning of the word and HOW it changes in the context of the sentence. Hope someone reads this!
