I'll bump this too, as we're still eagerly awaiting this fix. The "workaround" I had referenced in my above post is now obsolete, as a Google update has broken my method of working around the issue (as expected), and I have not had an opportunity to look into it since. Thus, we've since removed Google Translate from the site(s). As of writing this (4/14/11), I've the uncompressed copies of the modified JavaScript up for reference to others, or even the Google Translate team. If there's no fix soon and I have some time to look at it, I may make another attempt at a work-around and post my findings.
