I'm sure there might a problem on my end, or perhaps this was an
oversight, but since chrome 11 was just released, speech support was
added for chrome 11.
For me it doesn't work in chrome 12.
I know I probably shouldn't be using a dev version for daily use, but
it really doesn't have much to do with the problem because it's
actually hiding the speech element.
Display: none;
Instead of showing it. when the speech feature should work fine either
way.
I fixed it with a chrome extension called stylebot, (because I don't
know a full lot about javascript, I just used a page editor) by
changing it to display: inherit; but if this is affecting more then
one person, it may be worth checking out.
