I am heavily relying on Translate to help me understand a lot of
Chinese text. But I feel like over the last 6 months the quality went
down drastically. Before it helped me to understand maybe 60% of the
texts (quite colloq. stuff from renren.com), but now I feel like I
only understand 20%. It's really annoying how wrong the results are
from time to time, even when you split the text down to single word
translations (Let's not mention the grouping problems and that
sometimes you can't even correct it manually because the slices are
interpreted totally wrong).
So guys, what happened? I hear from other people that they get really
good results with Translate and I also at least thought it was okay.
But I never thought a service that relies on a lot of data can get
worse over time. I mean the data you put in your algorithms gets
bigger over time, doesn't it?
