Dear makers of Google Translate!

First a big complement of what Google Translate has achieved already.

I am professionally translating from several languages. It is clear
that neither now nor probably ever there will be a possibility to get
perfect, let alone professional translations out of a mechanised
approach.

But for a first idea of content in an unknown language and also for
proposals for isolated words or passages the results are excellent.
Great are the extra functionalities like audio - available of course
on other platforms too -, easy inversion of language pairs, list of
synonyms and transcriptions and different input methods for non Latin
writing languages.

And here is a proposal for something that is not yet in Google
translate - but would be a gorgeous enrichment, namely to get an IPA
version of texts. To get a one-click conversion of normal text into
the phonetic transcription is something that to my knowledge is hardly
available anywhere in the web - but it would be of invaluable benefit
for learners and students of other languages.

Google with its enormous informatics resources could be the right
launchpad for such a ground-breaking achievement.

Best regards

Asakana
