Hi there,

Is there a legend of the phonetic translation provided by Google
Translate? E.g., "It's a wonderful day." is translated to
"มันเป็นวันที่ยอดเยี่ยม" in Thai and reads "Mạn pĕn wạn thī̀ yxd
yeī̀ym" phonetically. But how to pronounce this remains a slight
mystery to me.

Why isn't standard IPA used instead?

Thanks!
