I thought it would be nice if translate.google.* didn't depend on selected system keyboard layout. I mean when translation is set "from: language to: english" and system keyboard layout is set to "english" instead of "language" when you type text javascript will ignore entered symbol and put corresponding symbol of selected "language" depending on keycode of a pressed button. I mean it's annoying when you type text, see foreign letters, backspace it, switch layout, type again. It happens all the time because tabs in chrome do not memorise layout that was selected when it was active and stuff...
