I can't anywhere to report problems with Google Translate so I'm doing it here.
I have two issues: 1. Using the feature to help improve Google Translate by suggesting an alternative translation 2. Preserving Confidentiality of text when used to suggest an alternative translation 1. Google Translate suggested I contribute an alternative translation when I hovered my cursor over a dubious phrase in the translated text. But this feature was presented inconsistently. I was subsequently unable to use it. I spent a relatively considerable amount of time assembling my suggestion. I then closed the suggestion without sending it. but preserved my suggestion by copying it so I could make it again in a moment. I did this for reasons of confidentiality set out in 2. I stripped out all of the translated text bar the dubious phrase. But then I couldn't get the 'help us improve by suggesting an alternative translation' prompt back. So I pasted all the text back in. This did not help. The software would still only allow me to suggest translations for individual words in the translated phrase. It would no longer allow me to suggest an alternative for the whole phrase as it had done originally. When I put the cursor over the text, it would only highlight one word at a time. Previously it highlighted a whole sentence at a time. I pasted it again. This time the software highlighted whole sentences when I hovered the cursor over them. But it did not make the prompt to allow me to suggest an alternative translation. I could see no where else to opt to do this. I have been unable to make my suggestion. 2. When I first took the proffered option to suggest an alternative translation there were a number of paragraphs of confidential text in the translator. I had no idea if when I sent the suggestion, it would include all text in the translation window or just the selected phrase. Without any assurance I had to cancel the suggestion.
