I frequently will paste in snippets of Japanese text to help me translate the meaning to English. Sometimes i'll use other sources including subject matter source (some times I'll know about the source and know what a name or noun 'should' be (or has been translated by others into an English about the topic). I will type in my changes, re-arrange words, etc.
How can I get my changes to be saved so that if I typed in the same phrase again, it would show my translation (or at least one of my translations, based on context)? I.e. correlation to surrounding couple of words -- maybe even the sentence, with increased correlation weight based on the closest words, in regards to 'which' translation (if I have entered more than one over time) to initially present? Even saving any updates that are text specific would be useful -- and *sometimes*, it appears that it does this, but other times, *zilch*... how do I save changes?? A common problem: If I am typing in a correction to a word, I'll hit erase (backspace), .. this has the bad side effect, that, if the cursor isn't directly over the input box for any reason, the backspace key will go back in my browser history. I can immediately go forward, but then all my changes will be lost and I will see the page as it was originally presented!!!... Don't know if that's fixable or not -- i.e. javascript would have to store changes in some per-translation specific cookie -- after I typed each of them, so if I left the page accidently, it would have saved my work... OR sometimes, in other composition editors -- I've noticed that if I 've started a composition or change, and don't 'finalize' it before leaving the page, it will prompt me if any action tries to take me away from the page...i.e. a popup will come up and ask me if I want to leave before saving changes.... I can then choose to stay on the page (usually 'Cancel, movement off of page, or say 'no' I don't want to move off of page) or choose to continue my movement off of the page (continue, yes, ok...?) But my main Question is how can I get get those changes saved in the 'simple' case... so they'll be presented next time I encounter that word? Thanks!
