Not sure about other languages but when using God's name Jehovah, or Yahweh, it translates it into the LORD. Although that is a popular way of identifying God, it is not accurate to translate a name for a title. Not that it's wrong to use that title. But for example if I wrote Jesus Cristo in Spanish and translated it into english, the correct english translation would be Jesus Christ. Why is God's name any different? It is really offensive to those who sometimes use that name in something that needs translation.
