As a German speaker, and a person who often tests the English -> German capabilities of the Google Translator, I've noticed something that not only bugs I, but bugs many people - A lack of Gender selection for nouns.
In German there are three ways to identify a noun's gender: Masculine, neuter, and feminine. (der, das, and die, respectively.) When a noun is plural, the word changes slightly (der Bruder -> die BrĂ¼der) and the prefix identifier changes to "die". However, with Google Translator, the gender is always assumed to be Masculine and singular - which can be confusing to someone attempting to translate something. In the future, will be see a way to choose the gender of certain words in an sentence (for example, clicking on a noun and a drop-down menu showing options such as 'masculine / feminine' and 'singular / plural'?
