Hey Folks, I joined this group because I could not find an answer (and have repeatedly not been able to find answers to this type of question), regarding the growing use of politically correct terms and expressions, which some people seem to assume everyone should understand the meaning of (NOT!).
Well, only a few people, who are "in the know" so to speak, use these expressions and really know their true meanings that often appear to be totally artificial and more often than not contradictory to the general meaning the words have outside of their class context. One simply needs to listen to politicians, bureaucrats and other specialists to understand what I mean, the use of a obfuscating language that appears to say one thing in plain english that actually means the opposite, a language that is difficult to understand for anyone who has been brought up under the basic principle of "speaking one's truth", in other words, based on the premise that to convey one's idea the best way is to be precise and direct. I am therefore suggesting that google translate start a module for politically correct, legal, technical or other jargon or specialist expressions into plain English for the benefit of the public this jargon and the actions and other decisions they convey is supposed to address. It would definitely benefit rebuilding confidence in our leaders that is, as most people know, at an all-time low now.
