Hi. I'm developing an app that will help people learn foreign languages. I would like to connect it to Google Translate so that the translation history will be immediately transferred to my app.
There is one problem though. Google Translate API is quite expensive for a start-up. I see two solutions of this problem: 1) Developing a Greasemonkey script that will be embedded into Google Translate. And every time user will translate something it will be added to his personal dictionary in my app. But there is a problem: installing a Greasemonkey script can be difficult for an unexperienced user. 2) Embedding Google Translate in an iframe and doing the same thing as I described above: every time user will translate something it will be added to his personal dictionary in my app. Is it legal? Won't this embedding violate any rules? One more thing. Maybe you could give us some kind of special access to Google Translate API? It will be used only for our embedded translation. We will save the Google logo and everything you will ask for. Thanks in advance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General" group.
