I use Google Translate a lot on webpages because I browse the world so I have it automated. At the same time I use Google Reader which gives me a page rich in links. The "alternate text" thing just keeps getting in the way. I have to run the pointer off to some place without a link, increasing my mileage. In some cases the popup prevents me from clicking on an item or I have to "race" it. Useless in that case. There should be a way to turn it off. I use Translate because I have no better idea what the language means so I can rarely contribute alternative feedback.
