I am growing so tired of opening a Faroese website, and getting asked if I wan't to translate from Icelandic...
The Faroe Islands have nothing to do with Iceland, the languages are completely different, and it is an insult to all faroese people, and I guess all Icelandic people, to mistake the two languages for one another. The two languages are as similar as french is to english, they might share some similarities, but are as different as night and day. One suggestion would be to never ask for Icelandic translation on any domain, with the .fo country domain extension, as it would never be Icelandic on any of those pages. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General" group.
