I have used Google translate many times to change French to English, I
just tried translating Italian to English. There is a major problem
with the translate tool and white space recognition which hampers
translations.

Translate does not render white space as a space, hence there are run
on statements that need editing to translate properly. It is
especially bad between titles and paragraphs or between paragraphs.

To test take any non-English text that has an end-of-line followed a
new line or a line feed much like this statement. I do not need to
have the translated output have the same format as the original
(although, it would be nice); My request is simply add a space when
grabbing the original text.

LA TANA DELLO SCOIATTOLO È VUOTA.
SPOSTA IL PUNTO COLORATO E AIUTA LO SCOIATTOLO A TROVARE MAN MANO LE
SUE PROVVISTE.

THE LAIR OF THE SQUIRREL THE POINT is VUOTA.SPOSTA COLORED AND HELPS
YOU FIND THE SQUIRREL MAN HIS HAND STORES.

Adding a single white space gives:

THE LAIR OF THE SQUIRREL is EMPTY. MOVE THE POINT AND COLORED THE
SQUIRREL HELPS FIND A MAN HIS HAND STORES.
